SBALT permanently protects 27 acres of prime soils at Phil Foster Ranch in San Juan Valley.   This is the popular local farm that San Benito residents know as Pinnacle Organically Grown that offers fresh organic fruits and vegetables wholesale and direct to consumers. 

State grant award funds SBALT acquisition

The California Strategic Growth Council acknowledges SBALT with a grant award through the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program.  Funds will directly preserve San Benito County farmland through a conservation easement acquisition.

Capacity Building grants fund SBALT accreditation efforts

June, 2019

SBALT receives a capacity building grant from the Community Foundation for San Benito County and matching funds from grocer Raley's Nob Hill.  Funding will support completion of property reports, milestone achievements towards Land Trust Alliance accreditation.
