October Ranch Day
Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Whether we're trimming trails, pulling weeds, mending fences, or tackling whatever our Stewardship Committee has in store, your help makes a difference. Tools, training, and good company provided—just bring your sun hat and willingness to get your hands dirty!
Join us for our Annual Saturday After Thanksgiving Hike!
Still full from Thanksgiving dinner? Need a little fresh air after a day of leftovers? Come stretch your legs, enjoy the beautiful San Benito countryside, and work off at least one piece of pie with us! We’ll spend the morning exploring the land, enjoying the scenery, and giving thanks for the open spaces we’re lucky to have right here in our community. Bring a picnic lunch.
Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Bring comfortable shoes, water, picnic lunch, and your post-holiday spirit! Come hike with us!
What to Expect

Hands-on stewardship such as trail work, weed removal, fence repair, or similar land care projects

Guidance, tools, and support from SBALT staff and volunteers

Family-friendly activities at select events

A welcoming outdoor experience rooted in service and learning

Every Ranch Day supports the stewardship of protected land while strengthening the community’s connection to the landscapes that sustain agriculture, open space, habitat, and rural character in San Benito County.
