Thank you all for participating in the recent San Benito Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) meetings. We are reaching out to ask for your feedback on the draft version of the CWPP, which we developed based on the discussion from those meetings. Initially, the full CWPP was sent out for community review, but we received feedback on the document length making it challenging to provide comments.
To simplify the process, we’ve created a shortened form (linked below) highlighting key questions on main points. This format aims to make it easier for the community to provide input. For those who want to see the full CWPP, a link is provided within the form.
As the CWPP will be in effect for the next ten years, it is crucial that the San Benito County community shares their knowledge and feedback to strengthen this plan. Please submit feedback by this Friday, November 22, 2024. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued collaboration in this important process.

If you missed the first Informational Meeting about the San Benito County General Plan Agricultural Element last week, there is still ample opportunity to get involved. County staff is requesting input from the agricultural community, in particular, about the formation of a Stakeholder Planning Group that will provide input on issues, information, and policy development for the Ag Element. Volunteers will be committing to 6 or 7 meetings over the next year. Meetings will be in-person/virtual hybrid, and there will be materials to review prior to each meeting. To volunteer yourself, or recommend other groups or individuals that should be considered for the Stakeholder Planning Group, please complete the questionnaire here no later than Friday, November 29th. For more information, please contact the Ag Element Project Team at AgElement@sanbenitocountyca.gov.
